- Several times I asked myself "Why, but why did You let this happen to me?" I could not imagine my life as a gay person. There was too much negativity attached to it. The greatest stumbling block was the fear of not being loved for who I am. Everyone wants to be loved. Every single soul on this earth needs some sort of affection; some need it more than others. I happen to be part of the latter. Several years have passed and it has been quite a long journey for me. I am now 40 years old and it took me a good 25 years to get where I am today-- TOTALLY OUT and feeling BLESSED by the One above. It has been a painful journey but, all the same, a beautiful journey. My message to you is this: first, it is ONLY YOU who decide when it is the right time for you to come out. You may decide to not come out and that is perfectly ok. Just make sure that you DECIDE. Secondly, know that whatever and whoever you are (gay, straight, trans, black, white, yellow, green, Muslim, Jewish, Catholic, or if you believe in a higher power), you TOO ARE BLESSED...........
